THE KANGRA NIGHT FOREST

This print was born in the stillness of Dharamsala.
During my stays at the old Kangra king’s holiday home, the forest never felt distant — it pressed right up against the walls. At night, leopards would move silently across the roof, unseen but deeply felt. The air carried pine, damp earth, and the hum of mountain life.

Himachal Pradesh has a kind of greenery that doesn’t sit quietly. It coils, climbs, and curls into itself. Ferns unfurl in spirals. Wildflowers bloom in unexpected pockets. Vines trace their own pathways across stone and wood.

This forest print draws from that living landscape — its flora and fauna, its movement, its quiet drama. The swirling motifs echo the winding mountain trails. The delicate florals soften the strength of the wild cat silhouette — a reminder that beauty and power coexist effortlessly in nature.
