Floral Garlands

I was at a friend’s wedding ceremony and there were these gorgeous garlands made out of the Indian rose, marigold and mango leaves. They were decorating the entire space, their sweet fragrance filling the air. Taking inspiration from these beautifully handmade garlands showcasing Indian craftsmanship, I captured their essence in my own language with these fluid strokes and decided to use gota as the material to craft these lines on fabric to mark the festive symbolism of the garland.
